I am a PhD candidate in the School of Public Affairs and Administration at the University of Kansas. I teach interdisciplinary courses that combine my training in public policy, health equity, and urban/metropolitan governance.
I'm also a Health Policy Research Scholar, a national leadership program from the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation and led by the Bloomberg School of Public Health at Johns Hopkins University.
My research examines the role of policy and implementation in public health and criminal-legal outcomes. In context of the ongoing overdose crisis, my dissertation explores the public health implications of local government finance, determinants of state policy adoption, and regional health-justice collaborative initiatives.
